Cheesy cheese balls !

These cheesy cheese balls are fun to make. I don't really bake and think it's too messy but these were surprisingly easy and didn't create as big of a mess as I thought it would :P.  These are a perfect addition to a tea party or iftar :)

Here what you need:

For the dry ingredients:

2 cups of flour, 1 tbsp white sugar, 1.5 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp baking powder, and pinch of salt. Mix these together with a spatula.

You will also need a packet of shredded cheese. I like using this 4 cheese Mexican blend because it has montrey jack , chedder, salsa and asadero cheeses.

Pre-heat your oven to 350. While your oven is heating up prepare your mixture by combining 9 tbsp cold butter and 2.5 cups of cheese to the flour. Combine together. I don't have an automatic mixture so I just used my hands and a spatula to make sure everything is well incorporated. After the butter has broken up in little pieces your mixture is prepared.

In a seperate bowl whisk together 1 egg with 1 cup of heavy cream. Add this slowly to the flour mixture while mixing it with a spatula or your hands ! Once all the ingredients are combined mold the dough into balls.

Line them up on a baking dish. Brush the top with egg wash ( 1 egg with a touch of milk ) on top of balls. If you can add more cheese on top but I left mine plain. Set in the oven and let it bake for about 20 minutes.

Here is the finished product ! So cheesy and delicious. This recipe is super flexible because you can pretty much add anything you want to the flour mixture like ground beef, nuts, veggies, etc.

Bon appetit !

Spicy buffalo wings !

These spicy buffalo wings are perfect to munch on while watching soccer! These wings require some steps but trust me it's worth the effort. The end product is crispy yet tender wings. I made my own simple dipping sauce instead of bleu cheese dipping.

Here's what you need:
1 cup all purpose flour, 1 tsp crushed chilli, 1 tsp chilli powder, 3 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup of hot sauce, pinch of salt and pepper, and 2-3 tbsp of brown sugar. You can increase the spiciness by adding more of the spicier ingredients or decrease the spice by adding more brown sugar. You can also hint a bit of ketchup if you want a spicy/sweet combo.

To make the hot buffalo sauce you will melt butter on medium heat in a large frying pan. As it starts melting add chilli flakes, chilli powder, brown sugar, hot sauce .

Once your sauce becomes thick, pour it in a cup and set it aside. Prepare your batter for the chicken wings by mixing salt/pepper in 1 cup of flour.

Coat the chicken wings thoroughly with the flour mixture. Also during this time turn on your oven to 350.

Deep fry chicken wings in canola oil or vegetable oil for 5-8 minutes until they are golden brown.

Once your chicken wings are golden brown soak them on a paper towel first to absorb the excess oil. Transfer the wings to a baking dish lined with foil. Put in the oven for about 15 minutes to crisp up the skin.

Take out the wings after 15 minutes and set them up in a serving dish. Pour the buffalo sauce over your wings.

I made my own simple dipping sauce which is just mayo/ketchup/mustard combined with a pinch of salt and pepper. Finally I added finely chopped parsley and cilantro to the dipping sauce.

Enjoy ;)

Creamy rice and chicken !

I made this delicious creamy chicken and rice dish last week. This recipe is super easy to make and budget freindly.  The hardest part is cutting the onions and the rest is easy !

You will need non-stick cooking spray, paprika powder, cream of celery soup (or any other flavor of your choice), garlic powder, black pepper and 1 cube chicken bouillon.

You also need 1-2 potatoes chopped and 1 onion rougly chopped

Layer 2 cups of rice evenly on your baking dish and spray lightly with non-stick spray.

Heat 1 cup of water with chicken bouillon in the microwave for about 2 minutes or until the bouillon cube is mixed in with the water. Pour the mixture over the rice.

In another dish scoop out the soup from the can and add paprika, garlic powder, and a dash of ground black pepper. If you find the mixture too thick just add a bit of water and mix well.

On top of the rice layer chicken thighs and potatoes evenly.

Pour the soup mixture over your chicken and potatoes. Use your hands if necessary to spread the mixture evenly.

Bake in the oven at 350 for about 45 minutes.

The soup and bouillon mixture will get into everything and it tastes soo delicious. The rice becomes fluffly and full of flavor and the chicken becomes creamy and tender. This is the perfect comfort food  !

Decadent Alfredo Pasta !

I was inspired to make fettuccine alfredo pasta after watching a video recipe on youtube. This was my first time making it and it's so easy and delicious.

You will need butter, heavy cream, 1 clove garlic, parmesan cheese, parsely and ofcourse fettuccine pasta.

While your pasta is boiling in salted water for 10-12 minutes prepare the alfredo sauce by melting 4 table spoon of butter.

Add 2 cups of heavy cream with a dash of salt and pepper. Add the garlic clove which will steep with the heavy cream and give it a delicious garlic aroma. Let it simmer for a few minutes and then add pamesan cheese.

Let the sauce cook for a few minutes before until it bubbles.

Once the pasta is cooked you can add the sauce to the pasta. Add chopped parsley and garnish off with a sprig of parsley as well. This pasta was so delicious that I am never buying sauces from the market again !

Night time routine !

My night time routine is very simple. I don't like to use too many products as I have oily-acne prone skin. Here are some of my favorite products that are not too harsh! This routine takes me about 10-15 minutes each night and I've noticed a big difference in my skin in terms of break outs and oiliness.

Step 1.

I used to use Neutrogena makeup wipes to remove my makeup but lately I've been using coconut oil to remove my makeup. It does not tingle my skin and it feels more gentle than a makeup wipe. I also use coconut oil for my feet and then put on fuzzy socks that you can buy at the dollar store. Trust me your feet will feel baby soft in the morning! I actually do this almost every night and I have really soft heels that are not cracked. I also use coconut oil for my elbows, knees, etc.

Step 2

After removing my makeup I wash my face with Cetaphil  for about a minute with gentle circular motions. I've used SO many types of face washes but I find Cetaphil to be the best. It's very soothing and gentle on the skin. I swear by Cetaphil. It also removes any makeup that you didn't get to the first time around. I think this product made the biggest difference on my skin.

Step 3

After washing my face with water and patting it dry I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner . I don't like to use the  salicyclic acid even though I have acne prone skin because I feel it actually irritates my skin more. This Vitamin E toner is gentle and non-abrasive.

Step 4

I got this Pond's Deep Action Night Cream in Dubai.  It makes my skin feel supple and firm however after this cream is done I will be on the market for another night cream just to check out other brands.

On days where my skin needs some extra TLC I use Freeman Anti Stress mask . It makes your pores tight and feels so soothing on the skin. It's a really good drugstore mask that does what it's supposed to without breaking your bank.
